Most Underrated Wrestlers

Me and Vic got started talking while at his house watch the WWE 2011 Royal Rumble. We started listing the top then most underrated and top ten most overrated wrestlers. I'm going to start off my list. For this list, going by title wins, pushes, and I'm going by their entire major promotion careers including NWA, AWA, WWF/E, ROH, TNA, WCW, and ECW.

10. Finlay
This guy should've been given a major title in his last WWE run. Never had a bad match which is saying something considering his age. Liked him when he was the Belfast Bruiser too. His matches against William Regal are the stuff of legend.

9. The Young Stallions
The most underappreciated tag team of all time. They won the first Survivor Series tag team survival match along with the Killer Bees. However I'd rank them on this due to their careers being mainly as jobbers save for Roma's push in the Four Horsemen in WCW and with Hercules as Power and Glory in late 1990 in the WWE. I think Powers is a really underrated wrestler so I wanted him on this list no matter what.

8. Terry Taylor
The man who once donned the Red Rooster gimmick never got his just due. Underrated is the perfect word to describe him with. Always a good wrestler.

7. Gangrel
This guy never gets enough credit. He was the coolest vampire wrestler of all time. He came out with a chalice of blood, did bloodbaths, and led the Brood. He always had good matches too. Very underrated and probably should've had an Intercontinental Title run.

6. The Berzerker
This guy will never get his just do because he wrestled in a viking costume. I watched the 1993 Royal Rumble and his attack on Bob Backlund was AWESOME. This guy is great.

5. The Islanders
Most underrated tag team of all time. Haku and Tama would've dominated if Tama stayed in the WWF longer. I could see them versus anybody being a top tag team draw. Imagine these guys wrestling the Rockers or the Brainbusters. The angle where they kidnapped the British Bulldogs bulldog Matilda was AWESOME. They also dominated both the Young Stallions and the Killer Bees by themselves during the first Survivor Series before they were eliminated after the Bees switched using masks.

4. One Man Gang/Akeem
Everyone always forgets about this guy. He had one brief US Championship reign in WCW but other than that nothing major. His Akeem promos were always entertaining. He also got third place in the WrestleMania IV tournament.

3. Bad News Brown
This guy was Stone Cold before ther was a Stone Cold. He was ahead of his time with his gimmick and was a loner who didn't like working with anyone.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwDV7hw7quA

2. Shane McMahon
I'm sure this pick is going to shock people but I've NEVER seen Shane have a bad match. This guy always put his ass on the line and was in some awesome brawls and street fights. He had some balls on him too with some of the moves he did especially involving the video tron and jumping off the side of it. He's also the most unheralded hardocore wrestler ever.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPf5N22JBvs

1. Jake "The Snake" Roberts
Never won a major championship which is a travesty. He's the best wrestler to never do that. His promos are the best I've ever seen from anyone not named Jericho or Punk. He's one of the best of all time and I don't think he gets the credit he deserves even after all these years. A lot of it has to do with his drug and alcohol abuse though but he's still a legend. Actually, he's the best wrestler not in the Hall of Fame beside Randy Savage. Here's why...

Note:
I did NOT include Barry Darsow/Repo Man/Demolition Smash, William Regal, Cody Rhodes, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Marty Jannetty, and Christian on this list because of their title successes and the major storylines they were in during their careers including Jannetty's Match of the Year Award against Shawn Michaels in 1993.

Ranking the Royal Rumbles

Okay, time for the Royal Rumble Rankings blog. Watched every single Rumble over a span of 5 days and this is how the rankings came out:

1. Royal Rumble 1992 - This is the end all, be all of Royal Rumbles. The World Heavyweight Championship is on the line and everyone is gunning for it. It also had the best line-up of competitors in the Royal Rumble. However, with that said, Ric Flair put on a show. He comes in at number three and everyone is gunning for him yet he still wins it. Bobby Heenan's commentary is great during this match. He's freaking out. The list of people in this match is a Who's Who of wrestling history which made it even more enjoyable to watch. Fun to see Shawn Michaels in his first televised appearance after his heel the weekend before when he attacked Marty Jannetty. Flair was the star of this match, though. First wrestler to go in with a number between 1 and 5 and be there at the end. At one point everyone was out and Flair was by himself but then Roddy Piper comes out and it's bedlam again. The real craziness happened after Hulk Hogan showed up. All the remaining major stars started arriving and went at it to end the match. Sid Justice, Hogan, and Flair. Justice eliminates Hogan, Hogan grabs Justice's hand, and Flair dumps Justice out to win the title. The crowd went nuts and then when Hogan and Justice had a staredown in the ring the crowd was chanting "Sid!" Flair's post-match interview was great too. Best Rumble of all time, period.

2. Royal Rumble 1989 - This one probably will come as a surprise. This match was great. Starts off with Demolition facing each other, then the story switches to Andre vs. Everyone before Jake the Snake scares him off with Damien. After that it turns into Hogan vs. Macho Man after Hogan eliminates Savage "on accident." When Hogan is eliminated by the Twin Towers and then fights Big Bossman to the back, the rest of the match revolves around Ted DiBiase and Akeem vs. Big John Studd. Despite the double teaming Studd still ends up winning. Great commentary from Jesse Ventura especially during the parts when Hogan was in the ring.

3. Royal Rumble 1996 - This match was excellent. Started off with Henry Godwinn dropping pig slop onto Triple-H, Jerry Lawler, and Mr. Bob Backlund. Then Jake the Snake scaring everyone out of the ring with Lucifer the snake. Soon after Yokozuna and King Mabel had a showdown followed by Vader and Yoko both fighting and teaming up. They then had a massive brawl and Shawn Michaels dumped them out only to have Vader go on the rampage before being thrown out of the ring by Gorilla Monsoon. Match was good until the end where Shawn Michaels superkicked Diesel out to win it.

4. Royal Rumble 2001 - Kane goes on the rampage and eliminates 11 people but still loses to Steve Austin. Austin was the man. He gets jumped by Triple-H and is bleeding everywhere only to come back in and kick everyone's ass. Ended up Rock, Kane, and Austin. Rock and Kane were in the longest while Austin was the most beat-up. Austin won using a steel chair against Kane. Surprise entrants were Honky Tonk Man, Drew Carey, and Haku. The Hardcore Rumble part was a plus as well as Carey's attempted bribery of Kane and the Kane/Undertaker reunion. Great Rumble. Not a dull moment in it.

5. Royal Rumble 1990 - The crowd is what made this match work. They went nuts for every face and booed every heel that came out. Started off with Ted DiBiase, Randy Savage, and Warlord vs. Jake Roberts, Roddy Piper, and Bret Hart. After that there were spots setting up Mania matches. However the big part was the Ultimate Warrior/Hulk Hogan showdown. Warrior was eliminated and Hogan eventually won the match over Mr. Perfect and "Ravishing" Rick Rude. The only bad part about this match was Tony Schiavone's annoying commentary which is why this isn't ranked higher.

6. Royal Rumble 1998 - Steve Austin vs. Everyone. That sums this Rumble up. However the cast of characters made this one highly amusing to watch. There was everything from sexual deviants, cowboys, barroom brawlers, bikers, and martial artists to punk rockers, inbred hicks, bondage sex freaks, and Nation of Islam separatists. This match had it all. The Rock was in for over fifty minutes but Austin won. Good match overall and amusing to watch.

7. Royal Rumble 1997 - Steve Austin dominated this Rumble. Came in at number five and threw out people left and right. Cool seeing Pierroth, Cibernetico, Latin Lover, and Mil Mascaras enter the fray. Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin got a massive reaction from the crowd. Terry Funk battling Mankind was great. Fake Diesel and Fake Razor Ramon were great to see too. Cool spot where Ahmed Johnson came in with a 2x4 and chased out Faarooq with it. Ended up with Funk/Mankind fighting on the floor. Austin was eliminated by Bret Hart but no one saw it. He comes back in and eliminated Undertaker, Vader, and Hart to win it. Hart was pissed and yelling at and yanking Vince McMahon's shirt. Great ending and cemented Austin as a major star, not just a star on the rise.

8. Royal Rumble 2006 - Rey Mysterio and Triple-H carried this match. They were the first two in and lasted over an hour in the match. Mysterio set the time record in winning over Triple-H. Tatanka, Road Warrior Animal, and Goldust all showing up were great surprises. There were a lot of guys that stayed in for long periods of time but the action flowed quite nicely and held the match together. Overall a good Rumble with a great upset ending.

9. Royal Rumble 2004 - This one was good but the 2006 Rumble was slightly better. Chris Benoit, yes that guy, drew number one and won it all. Benoit and rising star Randy Orton carried the first half of this match. After Kane was spooked by Undertaker's gong, Mick Foley came out and got into a wild brawl with Orton all around the arena. After Brock Lesnar interefered causing Goldberg's elimination the match turned into Big Show vs. Benoit, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, and John Cena. Ended up with Benoit eliminating Big Show to win it and break Bob Backlund's endurance record. Good match with a great flow of action. The ending made Big Show look dominant but at the same time made Benoit look great going into Mania.

10. Royal Rumble 1991 - Hulk Hogan wins a fairly interesting Rumble match. Number 18 no-showed and it turned out it was Randy Savage being chased out of the arena by the Ultimate Warrior. The roster for this Rumble is stacked which is why I think I like it so much. The crowd was WAY into it too especially after the Sgt. Slaughter World Title win earlier in the show over Warrior thanks to Savage's interference. Rick Martel set the time record by being the first wrestler to be in a Rumble over 50 minutes. Greg Valentine was in for 44 minutes. And get a load of this list of other guys who were in over 30 minutes: Hercules, Tito Santana, and Davey Boy Smith. Also in over 20 minutes: Bret Hart, Kerry Von Erich, Shane Douglas, and *gasp* Earthquake. This was also Undertaker's Rumble debut. Hogan eliminated Quake to win it. Quite an enjoyable Rumble to watch.

11. Royal Rumble 1988 - The first Royal Rumble and definitely not the worst. The amusing thing about this is that half the wrestlers in this would be considered out of shape now days going by society's standards for fitness. Fans were really into it. Hacksaw won it over One Man Gang and Dino Bravo. Interesting to see the Ultimate Warrior when he first arrived in the WWF too.

12. Royal Rumble 1999 - This match should be higher but the long period between the Corporate Ambush on Steve Austin and the return of Austin/McMahon hurt this match. The parts with Austin in it were great. Everyone wanted the bounty to eliminate Austin and kept preventing each other from eliminating him which basically made McMahon's master plan backfire. Ended up with number 1 Austin against number 2 McMahon. Austin dominated but Rock interefered and caused McMahon to eliminate Austin. Great ending which made up for the boring parts (save for the Gillberg elimination) in the middle.

13. Royal Rumble 2011 - Instead of typing up another review, here's my review from the last blog:
WOW, what a match. Last year’s Rumble match was a horrible piece of garbage (save for CM Punk’s running commentary) but this one was the complete opposite. Before it even started the New Nexus and The Corre got into a gang brawl after Punk came out. This whole fight was better than the entire 2010 Rumble combined. All it took was a brawl to start it off with. Starts off with CM Punk and Daniel Bryan which would be the Main Event of WrestleMania in a perfect world since they are the two best in-ring wrestlers in the company. The best overall wrestlers were coming out in the beginning with Bryan, Punk, John Morrison, Ted Dibiase, William Regal, and Yoshi Tatsu all coming out early. Morrison did this awesome spot where he jumped onto the barricade and then jumped onto the stairs to avoid elimination. Probably will go down as the best Rumble moment ever. Then the New Nexus all arrived to help out Punk and they were in control for awhile. The group eliminated everyone that came out including Tyler Reks, Vladimir Kozlov, the returning Great Khali, and the returning Booker T. Booker got an awesome reaction. John Cena then came out and eliminated the entire New Nexus. Hornswaggle then came out and they formed an alliance with Kofi Kingston. However Jack Swagger and Sheamus broke that up. THANK GOD. The Cena Superhero Team-Up almost ruined the whole damn match for me. When Sheamus eliminated that Leprechaun it was the best moment of the match other than the Morrison spot. That’s when all the rest of the big time players started coming out including Rey Mysterio, Wade Barrett, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Big Show, Ezekiel Jackson, Alberto Del Rio, Randy Orton, and Kane. Diesel came out and was WAY OVER. I bet Dixie Carter was in shock when a guy who TNA probably thought couldn’t get over at his age anymore got over in mere minutes in a WWE ring. Yeah, I couldn’t believe it either. However I’m going to be biased here and say that Diesel kicked ass. I was a HUGE Diesel mark in 1994-1996. Right after that I went into Steve Austin mode after the 1996 King of the Ring tournament. Anyway at this point the only people who came out that I didn’t think had a shot were Jackson, Alex Riley, and Santino. Santino got knocked out to the floor early and stayed there. The Sheamus and Drew McIntyre "Celtic Connection" team-up was great too. I was actually liking them as a team to be honest. There were a few times when Orton and Cena had confrontations but the crowd wasn’t into it AT ALL. Ended up with Cena, Barrett, Del Rio, and Orton. Miz came in and eliminated Cena after Riley distracted him. They then ran out. Orton eliminated Barrett and then Del Rio eliminated Orton. As Del Rio was celebrating the greatest ending in Rumble history unfolded. Santino appears and gives Del Rio the COBRA! I WAS MARKING OUT! I called it the moment Santino got knocked out to the floor. However I was wrong about him winning in the biggest upset ever. Del Rio turned it around and eliminated him. Great ending and a HUGE push for Del Rio. He was my dark horse pick. I was dead on with my predictions except I had Del Rio and Punk flip-flopped. Great Rumble overall.

14. Royal Rumble 1994 - Other than the Bret Hart/Lex Luger double elimination ending and Diesel's rampage this was just a by the books Rumble. Shawn Michaels was on another planet compared to everyone else as far as hanging on in the Rumble goes. He took it to another level in 1995 and 1996 but he was great, as usual. The Tenyru/Kabuki attack on Luger with wooden brooms and chairs was weak. That was hardcore for back then. Nothing match but Bam Bam Bigelow being in the longest was a nice surprise.

15. Royal Rumble 2007 - The ending with Shawn Michaels facing Undertaker was awesome and basically saved this Rumble. It was the best ending ever for a Rumble to be honest. Sabu getting chokeslammed through a table by Kane and Team Rated RKO, CM Punk, Shelton Benjamin, and Finlay lasting awhile were the only other things of note in this match. The ending along bumped this one way up on the list.

16. Royal Rumble 2002 - This Rumble had three parts to it. One was Undertaker's rampage which ended up with Maven shocking the world and eliminating him with Christian and Chuck Palumbo dominating the in-between period, second was Steve Austin's rampage, and the third part was Austin vs. Triple-H vs. Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Perfect which ended up with Triple-H winning over Angle. This would've been ranked much higher if it wasn't for the in-between period and the lackluster beginning before Taker arrived.

17. Royal Rumble 1993 - Nothing match that was highlighted by the Giant Gonzalez's debut attack on the Undertaker that was preceded by the awesome steel chair beatdown of Bob Backlund thanks to the most underrated wrestler in history, The Berzerker. Apperances by Jerry Lawler, Terry Taylor, Damien Demento, Max Moon, Papa Shango, and Repo Man were great. Highlight was Bob Backlund lasting over an hour. Crowd was way into him. Yokozuna won the match over Macho Man.

18. Royal Rumble 2009 - Legacy teams up to fight their way through the match and Randy Orton won it. Orton, Triple-H, and Mysterio were the three longest lasting wrestlers. Ted DiBiase Jr. and Cody Rhodes were also in there for a long time. At times there were around 15 wrestlers in the match but maybe 3 or 4 were actually moving around. That made it slow paced and that hurt the match overall.

19. Royal Rumble 2005 - There were two events that happened in this match One was the Smackdown vs. RAW showdown that ended when they all teamed up to elimianted Muhammed Hassan and the other was the start of the Rise of Batista. The botched ending when Batista and Cena fell out at the same time was improvised chaos. However Batista won when they restarted it. Simon Dean's antics were also highly amusing.

20. Royal Rumble 2000 - This Rumble was carried by five wrestlers: Test, Big Bossman, British Bulldog, Gangrel, and Edge. If it wasn't for them then this would be a nothing match with the highlight being constant run-ins by Kaientai and the Mean Street Posse. The Rock won after eliminated Big Show last. Kane was the only other contender to win other than those two.

21. Royal Rumble 1995 - A wrestler coming out every 60 seconds is a bad idea and this Rumble is why. Shawn Michaels and British Bulldog fought all the way through this after getting numbers 1 and 2. Ending was great with Michaels holding and Bulldog thinking he won but being eliminated during his celebration. Michaels held on and only foot touched which makes this the one foot rule Rumble. However the match was blah other than the ending.

22. Royal Rumble 2008 - Other than the moment when time stood still when Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka squared off, this was a nothing match. Batista, Umaga, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, and Cody Rhodes were all in for a long time but nothing else stands out. Ended up with Cena beating Batista and Triple H at the end of it.

23. Royal Rumble 2003 - Brock Lesnar wins a boring, uneventful Rumble. Too many big guys kind of bottled this one down. Big guys aren't the answer which this Rumble showed. However Shannon Moore using himself to save Matt Hardy constantly and Cena's heel rap entrance were amusing as well as the brief Tommy Dreamer hardcore spot. Chris Jericho being in for over half an hour was the highlight.

24. Royal Rumble 2010 - The most dull, boring Rumble of all time sans for CM Punk's six minutes of speaking his Doctrine of Hate with a microphone in-between eliminations. Other than that and Beth Phoenix's elimination of the Great Khali nothing stood out in this Rumble at all. Boring at times and just not interesting at all. The most overrated wrestler of all time winning it didn't help matters either.

Royal Rumble 2011 Review

Royal Rumble 2011 Review:

World Championship - Edge defeats Dolph Ziggler:
This is what a World Title match should be. Ziggler made this match. His reactions, selling, and move selection made this work. The crowd was into it and Ziggler is reason why. I'm predicting right now that Ziggler wins a World Title by the end of the year. The ending with the ref bump and the Spear was ok but the Kelly Kelly attack on Vickie and the Spear/Unprettier by Edge to end it were great spots. Crowd was really into it.

WWE Championship - Miz defeats Randy Orton:
Now this was the opposite of the first match. The crowd was not into this match at all. When I was watching this with my buddies Vic, Art, and Daniel two of them fell asleep during this match. Honestly it was tough to watch. The crowd wasn't into it and neither were we. This match was a half hour of boring that I couldn’t wait to see end. They should NEVER book these two against each other again. The crowd was dead and didn’t like it. I don't blame them. This match both sucked and blowed at the same time. The only part they liked was the ending when the New Nexus came out and distracted Orton only to have Orton stop Alex Riley's sneak attack but get attacked by Punk right afterwards who pulled Miz onto him for the win. Other than that crowd was dead.

Divas Championship Fatal Fourway - Eve wins over Natalya, Michelle McCool, and Layla
This was more exciting than the last match. However the ending had Eve pinning Layla after a moonsault but at the same time Michelle McCool pinned Natalya directly behind the referee. The crowd was somewhat into this but overall it was longer than a normal Divas match and it wasn't too bad.

Royal Rumble Match - Alberto Del Rio wins
WOW, what a match. Last year’s Rumble match was a horrible piece of garbage (save for CM Punk’s running commentary) but this one was the complete opposite. Las Vegas and UNLV Town Hall Meetings

Hypocrites:
Alright, I'm going to go off on a rant. Governor Brian Sandoval (of Nevada, where I live) is wanting to cut money in a lot of public service areas, most notably education. Now here's where my issue with this whole thing begins. It's not with the cuts because we need cuts. You people want someone to blame? Blame the people who want to keep spending. Also blame the crooked politicians in both parties who are hyprocrites for blaming each other because both parties are to blame. Also these people holding up signs that said "The End of Education is Near" have no clue what the hell they are talking about. Why? Because it ended in this state a LONG time ago. I love hold the "end is near" only when it's convenient for them to use it for propaganda. The high school students complaining at these hearings need to get over themselves. They're talking about broken desks, supply shortages, and overcrowded buses and classrooms...yeah, that's been going on since I was in school here in Vegas. Quit your whining. Blame all the people who are moving here and overpopulating the area which is also causing water shortages and increasing unemployment, NOT the state government. They also talked about teachers being disillusioned. Reality check. I worked in the CCSD and that's nothing new. No magical revelations here. It's all just being used to sway public opinion and by it I mean things that have been going on for years.

Town Hall article -
http://www.lvrj.com/news/legislators-hear-appeals-for-increases-not-cuts-in-government-services-114891579.html

UNLV Town Hall:
What was supposed to be a town hall meeting was turning into a propaganda prep rally by UNLV President Neal Smartresk. I go to UNLV so I'm just going to tell it like it is right now. I call it the Corporation of Nevada-Las Vegas for a reason. The Board of Regents only cares about money, not the students. This guy is not an exception to the rule, either. This is what they do. They make you think that they are for the students but behind closed doors they do the opposite. Always been that way at least as long as I can remember. All of these students complaining about tuition increases are hypocrites, too. Eighty percent of the students at UNLV get financial aid...EIGHTY PERCENT! You're already getting help so you have no reason to be complaining. He is right about us lagging behind other states in the amount of college graduates but it's been that way for years. Also them saying that the university is critical to the state is a joke. It hasn't been that way for years and they know it. It's all a joke. You want to know why I want to get out of this hellhole as fast as possible? Everything in this blog is most of that reason.

Mayoral Candidate targets Illegal Immigrants:
I don't agree with some of the things he said but he did bring up a good point. Some criminals who are here illegally commit crimes and then go back to Mexico since they know they'll be able to get away with it. He also brings up an excellent point about the high concentration of illegal immigrants here in Las Vegas. They need to crackdown on the illegals because that's part of the reason for the unemployment issues here in Las Vegas. Businesses hiring illegals. A third of Vegas is Hispanic and honestly maybe halfway between 1/3-1/2 are legal. It's a major issue that needs to be dealt with.

Also Vegas is a LOT more racist than I thought. Check out some of the comments on this article. That's common for LVRJ article comments.

Egypt in Chaos, Part 4

Egypt in Chaos, Continued:
I was looking at CNN.com again and saw an article entitled "Experts: Egypt's fate rests in hands of popular, powerful military." Didn't I saw that yesterday? Some experts they've got when a blogger who has limited knowledge on the subject matter can come to the same conclusion that they did. The Egyptian military is going to decide the result of this upheaval. Either they take control for the people or for President Mubarak. Whatever they decide to do is going to be the ultimate decider about what happens to the country of Egypt. Nothing else matters except for what the military does, it's that simple. President Mubarak can't do anything without the military's help and he may not end up with it to be honest.
Link to article -
http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/africa/01/29/egypt.military.protests/index.html?hpt=T1

Here's an article about the new Vice President of Egypt, the first Vice President that country has seen since 1981. He is the Egyptian Intelligence Chief and is in Mubarak's inner circle.
http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/africa/01/29/egypts.protests.suleiman/index.html?hpt=T2

Another interesting development. Egypt's Ambassador to the United States has not heard from his own government but has had regular contact with the Obama administration. Ironically enough the ambassador has heard back from his son who has joined one of those "neighborhood watch" vigilante groups that are protecting neighborhoods from looters. He also noted the importance of the military which both the experts and I have stated is the key to this whole situation.
http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/africa/01/29/egypt.us.ambassador/index.html?hpt=T1

And lastly there is another major issue in Egypt. Thousands of prisoners have escaped from jails during the current political unrest in Egypt which is most likely why the looting has started today. All of that madness started after the prisoner escapes so I think both issues are related. However the citizenry has joined the military in protecting the museums from looters which, in my opinion, is a VERY good sign of things to come. The citizens are fighting them off as well as the remaining security forces. Some were killed during the escapes too.

Mom Shoots Kids and Melting Ice

Mom shoots Teen Children:
In Tampa, Florida some nutcase mom killed her teen children because they were talking back to her. What the hell is going on in this country? We've got children killing parents over them making them do chores and then the councilwoman here in Mesquite, Nevada who killed her husband and then herself. Add to it the Tucson shooting and now this crap. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?! This kind of stuff is why this country is slowly spiraling into oblivion. It's the De-evolution of society due to the fact that there are more psychotics and more people who don't have common sense out there. She got the gun five days beforehand. I wrote a blog that said that this country needs to give mental health examinations to anyone who wants to purchase a handgun, rifle, or any sort of automatic weapon sold in this country. Again I must say that this MUST happen to keep things like this from happening ever again. Too many nutcases out there for this not to happen.

Global Warming:
The North Atlantic current is the warmest it's been in 2,000 years which is one of the things I've been saying will probably happen and now it is happening. This means that there is the very real possibility of there being no ice during the summers in the Arctic Circle. In fact the arctic seas are heating up twice as fast as other areas. Polar Bears and natives that live in the Arctic areas are the most threatened by this. I'm honestly not surprised by this and will not be surprised to see more stories like this in the coming months.

Egypt in Chaos, Part 3

Egypt in Chaos, Continued:
Well today the protests and virtual anarchy has spread throughout Egypt. The whole world is getting to see video of what is going on which is making it EASILY the biggest news story on the major news channels right now. A lot of that has to do with the fact that there's nothing going on in news other than what's happening in Egypt. However there's been an interesting development. Looters have been on the rampage looting stores, museums, and just about anything else. Vigilante groups are now patrolling neighborhoods using sticks, kitchen knives, and anything else to guard against looters. The looters apparently are using motorcycles to get around. Also the military is now in protection mode to protect the Egyptian antiquities from the looters that have already messed up two mummies.

The whole situation has gotten worse than it was yesterday but today the only difference is police are no longer on the streets in some areas. However at least 60 protesters have been killed during this chaos and I expect that to climb. The military so far hasn't chosen a side. However I do feel like they are going to make a move soon and it's going to not be good for either Mubarak or the people of Egypt. The police have retreated after taken the full brunt of the people's hatred but I think that the military isn't going anywhere. CNN's reporter who was in the middle of the chaos talked to a guy who is a retired general and he said that the military is protecting the President's interests, not the people's interests. Just something to think about if the military goes into combat mode. Sometime over the weekend I predict the military is going to make a move and it's going to decide the outcome of what is going to happen in Egypt. Also Jordan, Yemen, Tunisia, and Lebanon are also seeing protests there. US foreign policy to the region is going to change dramatically between now and the start of the summertime.

Royal Rumble 2011 Predictions

Royal Rumble 2011:
Going to do some predictions for tomorrow's big Royal Rumble PPV before I go back into world news mode about Egypt. There are four matches at this PPV but there are 40 wrestlers in one of them so that makes up for it.

Alright, prediction time.

Divas Championship - Natayla vs. LayCool
Prediction: LayCool
It's a handicap match so I'd be surprised to see Natalya win without help.

WWE Championship - The Miz vs. Randy Orton
Prediction: The Miz
I do think Miz will win but lose the title at Elimination Chamber to John Cena. I think that will be done to set up Punk vs. Cena for the title at Mania. I think this match will be dominated by Miz in the middle but Orton will get hot near the end and Miz will cheat somehow to lose by DQ or get a cheap pin.

World Championship - Edge vs. Dolph Ziggler
Prediction: Edge
I think Edge will also retain his title but I think that this will be the better of the two title matches. I have a feeling Ziggler is going to be turning face after a rift with Vickie Guerrero. When that happens, Ziggler is going to be OVER. I mean REALLY over just for the mere fact that he's aligned against Guerrero who gets nuclear heat. I also predict he will be facing ADR in the near future when he and Vickie team up.

Royal Rumble match -
Prediction: CM Punk
This guy's on another planet on the mic compared to everyone else in the WWE right now. No one outside of Alberto Del Rio, who is my dark horse prediction, is even close to this guy. Here's what I think is going to happen. Both the New Nexus and the Corre are going to all enter and go to seperate corners and let everyone else fight around them ala nWo Hollywood and nWo Wolfpac. Eventually they will have gang warfare once all members of their factions are entered. They'll fight it out with each other and with Cena and his allies before the final three in the match are Wade Barrett, CM Punk, and John Cena. Cena eliminates Barrett only to have Punk eliminate Cena in short order. I also predict Del Rio will be in the longest. Surprise entrants will be Trips (who eliminates himself and King Sheamus to set up their WrestleMania feud), Christian (to come in near the end and eliminate Del Rio), Kevin Nash, and Booker T. Also going to predict that The Corre will be getting a new member at the Rumble so they are evened up 5-to-5 against the New Nexus.

Egypt in Chaos, Part 2

Mubarak asks Government to Resign:
Right in the middle of my rant in the last post President Mubarak came on television and said that the government was asked to resigned to form a new government. However he was not going to resign and that he praised the security forces for how they were handling this. He also said that chaos should not reign in this situation. Well the press conference backfired. Live on CNN there is video shown of a whole mass of people heading toward the Information Ministry to burn it down. So basically all he did was get the protesters even more angry. In fact the protesters are more energized which is the opposite of what should be happening. The Army is going to be the deciding factor in all of this and they currently are still backing the Mubarak regime. How the Army reacts to this is going to be the big thing in deciding who wins in this political unrest. The curfew is also failing to stop all of this which shows that the President has no power at all anymore. Also there is still a neat total blackout of web access. Most of the police stations in Alexandria are destroyed too. Delta also has halted flights there as well especially after Western journalists are being harassed.

This is how it all begins. The same thing happened in France during the French Revolution which led to Reign of Terror (minus the executions of political leaders of the ruling party) before Napeleon Bonaparte finally came into power which led to the Napoleonic Wars. Going by this and what happened in Tunisia this could lead to history repeating itself. The "Friday of Wrath," as it is being called, is EXACTLY what happened in the Reign of Terror. The people revolted and bourgeoisie that was in control fell out of power. In this case the ruler, President Mubarak, has no clue what his people want and isn't backing down which will probably lead to more chaos. The police beatings and the economic issues are just going to make matters worse. Also want to throw the Nostradamus "Mabus" Quatrain out there right now as far as Mubarak goes. Just a possibility. Surely more to follow on this.

Obama's Reaction to Crisis:
Now here's the rant I promised the last time. It seems like our government doesn't know what to do. Hell, at least Bush could make a decision even if it was a bad one. Obama is too busy trying to please everybody and try to get re-elected next year to make up his mind about what's going on in Egypt. All of this just because Mubarak is an ally but one who CLEARLY is not in power in Egypt. Instead he'll probably tell everyone what they want to hear like he normally does and then do the opposite later on. He needs to stop telling people what they want to hear and instead tell them what they need to hear. That's what he doesn't do and that's why I just can't support the guy for that very reason. I was a staunch Hillary Clinton supporter back in 2008 against this guy for this very reason. She had more experience and he was just telling everyone what they wanted to hear in order to get elected. Hope and Change is all propaganda, people. That's all it ever was.

Egypt in Chaos

Egypt Chaos:
Boy was I right on this one. Egypt turned into a complete warzone today. The people of Egypt are fed up and the government can't stop them. This is what happens when a dictatorship forms a "Cult of Personality" and it backfires. Clashes have been going on all day which is what was to be expected but not on this level. This is complete chaos at its finest. The ruling party's headquarters was burned by protestors as well as the opposition leader being under house arrest. Riot police were firing tear gas at the protestors and they even took film footage from a CNN reporter. Security forces are also taking cameras from tourists and reporters to keep this information from getting out on film. That kind of thing is what the Nazis used to do to keep the opposition from getting any sort of foothold. This stuff is all over the news. The video of it is amazing. You don't see this kind of thing every day. It's like Disco Demolition night or something. People are throwing rocks and bottles at the security forces and the government is in hiding or has fled. This is probably the best thing that could happen since it's showing that a Democracy can be formed over there in the Middle East without any guns being fired or any invasions. Same thing happened in Tunisia and will probably happen in Yemen. A major statement by Egyptian President Mubarak is expected soon so expect a follow up. In fact, expect AT LEAST three blogs from me about this in the next 24 hours or so.

Here's the full story from CNN:

Obama is a Coward:
TAKE A DAMN POSITION ALREADY! Obama is really blowing it on this. The White House can't even make up it's mind about this whole thing because Egypt is our ally. Just say something. Obama needs to just come out and tell it like it is on this issue. Mubarak is gone, just commend the protestors and continue to talk about there being peace there. Make up your mind, Obama. More to follow. Expect a RANT.

Royal Rumbles

Royal Rumble:
Been watching some old Royal Rumble matches and I really miss old school wrestling along with the old school commentary. The wrestlers back then were WAY more interesting than the stuff that happens now days. Royal Rumble 1988 was interesting to watch since half the wrestlers in the match would be considered out of shape now days. The wrestlers now are much more muscular and leaner than back then. However the fact that very few of them have actual characters, personas, and personalities really has made wrestling dull. The 1989 Royal Rumble was real interesting. Big John Studd won and the MegaPowers Explode was set up during the Rumble match itself. Jesse Ventura's commentary in these matches was classic. Great stuff. The 1990 Rumble had TONS OF HEAT from the crowd and set up the Hogan/Warrior match as well. The crowd was really into every face that entered the match which really made it work. The 1991 Rumble was kind of blah but Rick Martel and Greg Valentine were in there forever. Of course Hulk Hogan won in 1990 and 1991 since he was the hottest star back then. 1989 probably was the best one overall out of the four I've watched. Jesse Ventura's commentary, Shawn Michaels and Mr. Perfect's Rumble debuts, the Macho Man/Hogan showdown, Demolition facing off to start the match, Jake Roberts chasing Andre out with the snake, and DiBiase's plan to buy the Rumble win by getting number 30 backfiring.

Las Vegas Population Rises in 2010:
Are people really that stupid? Seriously...are they stupid enough to move to the place WITH THE HIGHEST UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN THE UNITED STATES THINKING THEY CAN GET A JOB?! Seriously, if you are reading this and you moved here in 2010, you need to go have a IQ taken because moving here is the DUMBEST MOVE YOU COULD EVER MAKE. The number of population growth should be in the negative range instead we're importing more unemployed people and more bad drivers because that's all there is in this town. Anyone who moves here must be living in a cave because this is the last place in the states you want to be. Go home for the love of God. And the last thing we need are more idiots here.

Radar Images of Startled Birds:
Well the big bird mystery is solved. They were startled shortly before their mass death. Loud noises are the most likely culprit for what happened. There is video of them on radar which proved that.

Family Guy:
People find this show entertaining? No wonder America is falling behind the Chinese. People have no taste. Instead they watch crap like this and the Jersey Shore. Jersey Shore ALONE is why China is going to beat us. I've seen too many people like that here in Vegas.

Arab World Protests

Egypt Discord Continues:
More chaos in Egypt as more protests are planned for tomorrow. Adding to the anarchy is that opposition leader Mohamed ElBaradei arrived back in the country. That should only give the protestors more reason to continue what they've been doing for a week now. The only good news is that ElBaradei is calling for peaceful protests which is a good sign but with the police out in full force I don't see that lasting too long. Facebook is also helping to organize these protests since the organizers can get people organized on there rather quickly which is making the protest planning more easy for the organizers. The Muslim Brotherhood is also calling for protests after Friday prayers. I expect to have a follow up to this tomorrow going by all of this.

Yemen Protests:
Yemen now is having issues with public discord. Yemen is also an Al Qaida haven which makes the situation even more unstable. The government is backed by the US which will directly effect US foreign relations just like Hezbollah taking over the government of Lebanon this week. Yemen is also the Arab world's poorest country which also is fueling the fires of the protests there. Half of the population is poor and radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki is probably instigating some of this with his past history of instigating or planning anti-US attacks including the bombing of the USS Cole. President Saleh saw this coming but his plan to prevent it (including raising the salary of soldiers and slashing income taxes in half) failed. My prediction is that either the Arab World is going to go against everyone else or it will stabilize. There is no in-between but judging by what's going on there, whatever the result of it is going to directly impact everyone all over the world. Here's a link to a related article from Yahoo -

Crop Circles

Crop Circles:
There was a crop circle found in Indonesia that have started UFO rumors. I think that all this Crop Circle stuff is fake 50% of the time and the other half they are real. I think that it started off as alien stuff but then these nerds started making their own which made people not believe that aliens were behind them. There's got to be some sort of an explanation for how all of this Crop Circle stuff started. There's no way that the circles could have been made back in the day with the technology they had at the time. Now they are easy to replicate but a long time ago they weren't. Just something to think about. Here's a link to the story -

Nevada Councilwoman killed Husband, Herself:
This is a follow up from yesterday. Nevada Councilwoman Donna Fairchild killed her husband and herself before she was supposed to testify. What a cowardly way to get out of something. After what happened to Gabriel Giffords, you decide to shoot yourself and your husband in the head with a gun? What the hell were you thinking?! This is just more proof that people in Nevada have no common sense and make the worst decisions in the history of the human race. Dear lord, this is just another dark day in this state. Class Update:
Well I'm starting to think that I'm dead on with what I was thinking. The girl in question smiles at me all the time and is about the only one to do that. The Polish chick was talking about me (I think, heard the name James) and to top it off I hit it off with the girl who came in late and sat next to me. We were talking after class and it's nice to meet someone who wants to get out of Vegas quicker than I do. She wants to go to Oregon which is a nice place to live. She's also not too bad looking either. And this is where the Varga Effect comes into play. Right when I think I've got one woman I like two or three more show up out of nowhere, I have an information overload, and end up screwing it up. But yeah, things are looking good. There's hope after all! It's a Festivus Miracle! In other class news I was namedropping all sorts of things in my sarcastic comments such as Russian Gulags, Terminator cybernetic organisms, glitches in the Matrix, and Ingsoc from Nineteen Eighty-Four. The jokes are getting over and I'm anwsering a lot of the questions in class so now my nickname (The Brain, from Bobby Heenan the wrestling manager) is rather fitting. Hopefully these liberal college chicks like smart guys instead of these Neanderthals that wear MMA Tapout gear, have tattoos, only care about working out, and carry around big jugs of water with them around campus.

Hackers

Social Media Hacking:
Both Bristol Palin's Twitter account and Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook fan page have been hacked over the past few days. Here's my opinion on this. These hackers are the scum of the Earth. All they do is sit on their asses all day long and do nothing but hack things because they have nothing to do in their sad, pathetic lives except for hack websites and celebrity fan pages and Twitter accounts. Their Trojan horses and Malware and everything else they've created, most notably Spam, is nothing but taxpayer dollars being flushed down the toilet because of preventive measures created specifically because of them. GET LIVES, LONE GUNMEN! That's all I've got to say on this matter before Die Hard with a Vengeance's Fire Sale becomes a reality.

Italian PM Rant:
This Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi went on a rant on an Italian show about his alleged orgies with prostitutes. This is easily the most amusing political scandal in ages. Here's a video that has some footage (not much) of his rant -
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/bestoftv/2011/01/26/nr.verjee.berlusconi.outburst.cnn?hpt=T2

Women in Vegas Rant:
I think this chick in three of my classes likes me. She gives me that look like "Hey, I'll meet you out back." The only reason I picked up on this is because it doesn't happen too often. I was going to do a little expose on what women in Vegas want in men so I'll do it here because my buddy Adam, Art, and I all agreed at his last party about this when Jimmy's drunk girlfriend got mad at Adam and me for being "pessimists" about dating in Vegas. This was the consensus.

Women in Vegas want men who work out, have tattoos, go to nightclubs, drink a lot, and have money or are African American. That's it. Judging by what I've seen in this town, this is pretty much accurate for almost every non-Hispanic or Mormon woman out there. They all want the same thing on dating websites, at the clubs, and anywhere else. It's a joke. And they wonder why they are getting hurt. This whole thing started when she got mad at my comment that "Women in Vegas only want to date douchebags." *cue Art laughing hysterically* That then led to Adam doing the run down which both me and Art agreed with immediately. I also came to the conclusion that any woman in this town no matter how bad she looks thinks she's a 10 and is going to end up with some hunk. YOU'RE NOT ALL HOT! DEAL WITH IT! I'm going to be single for a long time in this town. However the fact that I've had AT LEAST three different women check me out or give me the eye (so to speak) at UNLV since I started back has given me a small ray of hope that not all the women in this town are superficial hypocrites.

Egypt Protests

Egypt Protests:
The protests in Egypt have intensified over the last 24 hours and now the entire country is rioting. The people are more angry than they were yesterday and the police crackdown is only making things worse. I sense a full scale rebellion starting tomorrow considering that the protests have no gone as far south as Alexandria, which is Egypt's second largest city. This is what happens when the middle class gets fed up with a "Cult of Personality" leadership regime. It happened in Tunisia and now it's happening in Egypt. The Middle East and Northern Africa is in a state of upheaval. Twitter and Facebook were blocked in Egypt too. However I have a feeling that the protests will not be hampered by this. Add to it that today was a work day there unlike yesterday. Here's a link about the story:
http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/africa/01/26/egypt.protests/index.html?hpt=T2

Hezbollah Takes Control:
To go along with the Egypt Crisis is the fact that now that Hezbollah has control of the Lebanese government. The Sunnis are not happy with this and the Iran and Syria backed Hezbollah group also is going to directly effect our ties with Lebanon as well as effect our foreign policy in the region. The Middle East is really unstable right now and with a possible Sunni uprising in Lebanon it's going to be even more of a powder keg. The Middle East has replaced the Balkans as the area where it's most likely to hit the fan.

Diversity at the Oscars:
Dear lord, here we go again. Just because minority nominees are lacking doesn't mean that there is a lack of diversity. It means that there just is a lack of good acting from minorities that year. I'm so sick of this crap every single time that the Oscars come around. And don't even get me started on Precious from last year. What a piece of garbage. The CNN article on this called it "riveting." Give me a break. I'd rather stare at an acorn for three hours straight than watch that movie again. These Hollywood and Movie Critic liberals need to cut it out with this Reverse Racism crap every single year. THEY ARE GOING TO NOMINATE THE BEST ACTORS AND ACTRESSES THAT YEAR AND WILL NOT BE NOMINATING PEOPLE WHO ARE A CERTAIN SEX OR HAVE A CERTAIN SKIN-COLOR! THAT'S NOT HOW THE OSCARS WORK!

*ahem* Rant over, moving on. The Oscars nominated the best movies and people this year which is how it should be so these people complaining about lack of diversity can shut the hell up and deal with it because the best people were nominated, PERIOD. END OF DISCUSSION. One of the minority directors stated that they are "not taken seriously." Yeah right. Tyler Perry puts out 50 movies a year and gets a good audience so that right there alone is reason to show that the argument is crap. Also they forget to take into account that movies catering to one ethnic, minority, or cultural group aren't likely to get big budgets because they are being made for one group and not ALL groups. There's a difference. I wish the hypocrites would figure it out by now. In my opinion all of this is just an excuse for people to complain. Nothing more, nothing less. Here's a link to the article that led to this rant -

Yellowstone Caldera

Since I haven't seen the whole State of the Union Address yet I'm going to do a little blog about what happened over the weekend after a brief discussion about the Yellowstone caldera.

Yellowstone Caldera:
Yellowstone's underground volcano is apparently moving around Earth in certain parts of the park. If this volcano erupts, it'll be a thousand times more powerful than Mt. St. Helens was and that's saying something considering how powerful that eruption was. The volcano will eventually erupt which would effectively destroy both the United States and probably most of the world just from the ash clouds alone. Just remember that scientists think that a supervolcanic eruption killed the dinosaurs. Just something to think about. I've attached a link to the story.

Weekend Madness:
Alrightey as some of you may have noticed, I didn't blog at all for about 2 1/2 days which is rare for me since I started the blog back up. Okay here's the jist of the chaos. The weekend started with Adam's birthday party which started off like most of his usual parties do. He bought Subway sandwiches and the guys ate most of them. However the real fun started when Buffet Barry showed up. I've got video evidence of this guy eating five pieces of chicken in less than an hour including FOUR BREASTS! FOUR! He then teamed up with The General to go on an eating rampage. The video on my Facebook with me and Vern's commentary about this is hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at one point. Here's the quote of the party by Vern about the Buffet Master's food devourment:
"Only sleep or death can stop this."

After that he still was eating. This went on until after 10:15. That's when it really got crazy. Jimmy brought his gal-pal from Romania and she got REALLY drunk. She was all over some of the guys and wouldn't leave. She got really pissy with me at first over my sarcastic/negative comments but really got pissed at Art. She couldn't stand him. Got a great video of her getting a hug from Barry and this guy comes out and looks over at them. He had a "What the hell?" look on his face which pissed Barry off. That's when everybody started drinking. Barry, Adam, the Romanian chick, and Art drank the most but she drank more than all of them COMBINED. Later me and Art pulled a knock and run on the Dark Side's door. Later, around 2:15 am, when Jimmy finally went to leave without the Romaninan chick (mind you both he and I had been wanting to go since around 12:15 am), all hell broke loose. She was still drinking inside and to top that off Barry and Vern got into a full blown shouting match which almost got out of hand. I got stuck taking Barry home and he told me his side of what happened. Apparently it involved Jimmy's car being left running outside and unattended and Vern telling him to go outside and watch it or something. Anyway Barry likened my car to the "Last escape pod to leave before the planet explodes." He was right about that.

Sunday was great with the guys watching the NFL Conference Championships. The Steelers game was depressing since we all HATE the Steelers. That team is the Evil Empire of football. When they were up at halftime everyone bailed out. However the Bears/Packers game made up for it. The first half was meh but the Dark Side's twenty-five minute rant about Jay Cutler was EPIC. Then the Bears made the comeback and both Dark Side and Vern went on the rampage with some great yelling and cheering for the Bears. However they weren't too happy after the game was over but still happy that Hanie made then competitive.

Russia Terrorist Attack

Russia Terrorist Attack:
More terror attacks now by Muslim extremists. The people behind this incident probably are Chechen rebels who want a Muslim state. I am so sick of this Muslim extremist crap. Thirty six people died because some radical cleric declared Jihad in a Fatwa somewhere. The airport that was struck was the biggest one in Russia too. I hope the Russians go into that region and bomb the crap out of these rebel extremist cowards. There was a video caught of the exact moment that this incident happened. Here's the link:
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/world/2011/01/25/verjee.russia.blast.moment.cnn?hpt=T2

Add to it now that the Russian President has ripped into the airport for their crappy security measures. Check this rant out.

Nevada Councilwoman and Spouse found Dead:
Now there's a Nevada congresswoman who is dead and her husband is dead too. She was under investigation and both her and her spouse had a single bullet wound to the head so this was either a murder to keep her from talking or a murder-suicide. Just another thing that doesn't surprise me in this corrupt state.

Protests in Egypt:
It's happening again in Northern Africa. The Egyptians are protesting police corruption on Egypt's Police Day. Two people died in the protests. I find this very interesting given the incidents in Tunisia not too long ago. I think that Africa is in a state of upheaval, at least in the northern part. I will watch this for more developments. Here's a link to the story about it:

That's all for now. Will cover the State of the Union and my wild weekend sometime later.

NFL Conference Championship Predictions

NFL Playoff Predictions:
Alright, going to make this short and sweet.

New York Jets 24, Pittsburgh Steelers 21
Green Bay Packers 38, Chicago Bears 20

Yep, going with the road warrior teams. Jets are going to squeak by the Steelers and as much as I want the Bears to win I just can't predict them to win. I want the Bears but I think the Packers are going to kill them.

Found some videos from ESPN that simulate the games and here they are for your viewing pleasure -

Civility in Politics is already Over:
We've got elected officials referring to the GOP as "Nazis" and a Governor saying Obama should have a different view on abortion because of his race. Yeah, this civility lasted a millisecond just like I predicted. These politicians are all crooks and liars. They're all hypocrites too. They say one thing and do the complete opposite. It's a joke. This is why the two party system is going to fail. There's too much partisanship so a third party is needed to even it out otherwise, unless one party has a majority, nothing will get done. They will just continue to argue and argue and blame each other for the problems in this country. It's a joke.

There is a possibility of there being twin suns when a nearby star collapses and becomes a supernova. This event could happen before 2012. Yes, the Earth could become Tatooine and have two suns. The good news is that if this happens the Earth will be showered by neutrinos and that it will help create more thins like what we need such as gold and silver. This is a very good thing considering the dwindling natural resources al around the globe.

Las Vegas Unemployment

Vegas Unemployment:
Las Vegas now has 14.9% unemployment. What a disgrace that is to see. This town was once the most booming city in the entire country and now it's the most depressing yet idiots keep moving here. Yes, I said idiots. Why? THERE ARE NO JOBS HERE! STOP COMING HERE FROM WHEREVER BECAUSE THERE ARE NO JOBS IN VEGAS! NONE! 142, 500 people are unemployed here and I'm one of them. Stop coming here and to add to it the locals who are still looking. We also have a high illegal immigrant population which isn't helping matters and that is also why a lot of people in this state are anti-immigration reform and pro-immigration enforcement. However, that said, nothing is going to change anytime soon in this state. Anybody who thinks otherwise doesn't see the big picture. The population here is too high to sustain the jobs which is the hangover effect of all the people coming here in the late nineties and early-mid 2000's. It's a joke. I wish most of them would go back to wherever it is that they came from. We have water issues, education issues, state financing and other major economic issues, and we're ranking last in just about every major bad category there is. That said, going to link up the Review Journal story on here.

Todd Palin and Bristol Palin:
Todd Palin and Bristol Palin are trending on Yahoo right now so I'll talk about them since nothing else comes to mind at the moment. First Todd. Apparently Mr. Sarah Palin has been having an affair with an Alaska Madame who also was a Masseusse. Interesting. Considering that the National Enquirer broke it and they have a history of leading the charge in stories like this I'm more than inclined to believe it. I feel sorry for Todd, though. His wife is a hunter who has many shotguns in her possession. Big mistake by him. You don't mess with a Mama Grizzly in the winter. Anyway here's some links to stories on this breaking news:

http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/todd-palin-accused-of-extramarital-affair-by-tabloid_1196225

Now to Bristol who is the celebrity that talks to me the most on Twitter ironically. Apparently she took the name Johnston from her son's name and changed it to Palin. However apparently this story is not true and she has not changed the name. Bad timing going by what is going on with her dad. Again, feel sorry for him. Sarah can shoot guns. NEVER cheat on a woman who can shoot guns because you'll likely be shot.

Nations

Nations:
Alright folks, I bet everyone is wondering just what I've been playing around online here recently. Well here are some links to nation games that I frequent:

NationStates, a game based on the book Jennifer Government by Max Barry -
http://www.nationstates.net/

Cybernations, a game where you run your own nation:
http://www.cybernations.net/default.asp

If you join these games be sure to join up with my alliances, Warzone Airspace in NationStates and the New Polar Order in Cybernations. The NpO is currently at war but join anyway. Top alliance in the game. So that I get a referral bonus, if you do join, use this link:
http://www.cybernations.net/login.asp?accessdenied=%2Fnation%5Fdrill%5Fdisplay%2Easp%3FNation%5FID%3D439180

Also I'm the Minister of War in the Warzone Airspace region and we need more invasion forces. Just look up the Region and join. My nation is the Varga Islands and just merely Varga on Cybernations.

I also play the Nations game on Facebook as well as CBS Sports Franchise Football.

Irish Prime Minister wants New Elections:

The Prime Minister of Ireland called for new elections today after six of the government's ministers resigned in less than twenty four hours. They applied for a financial bailout after telling everyone earlier that they did not need one. Ironically the word Fail is in his party's name, not surprising after this episode. Edgar Allan Poe's Admirer No Shows Again

Bomb at MLK Parade:
There was a bomb planted near a MLK Parade in Spokane, Washington. The fact that the parade and the location of where the bomb was found are both near a former Aryan Nation area of influence. The FBI is treating this as an act of domestic terrorism and I don't blame them. I keep saying stuff like this is going to happen and it keeps happening. There's too many nutcases and lunatics out there like whomever planted that bomb as well as Jared Loughner who shot Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords. If these nutcases don't knock it off then we're going to be a police state before you know it. The police and government are going to clamp down on this crap before history repeats itself. All of us law-abiding citizens are going to get screwed over because of a few nutcases. World, you can blame Al Queda and power hungry sociopaths or in some cases rebels for your issues. America, you can blame the failed mental health system and domestic terrorists (whether they be Islamic extremists, hate groups, environmental terrorist groups, etc.) for your issues. We're all getting screwed because of the nutjobs. I just wish the sane people would wise up and crack down on this crap before it's too late. Just a thought.

Poe's Mystery Admirer Doesn't Show up Again:
Well I think the tradition is dead and possibly the person behind it. There's no way that if the admirer was alive that he wouldn't be there to continue the tradition. Hopefully this is not the end since Edgar Allan Poe is one of my favorite authors. Anyway here's an article about it.

UNLV:
Finished my last class tonight. It was a little long but when I was daydreaming I had an epiphany about writing a novel. I wrote one a long time ago back when I didn't know what the hell I was doing but this one is going to be a little different. Flooded with ideas. Should be good. I'll get around to it eventually. However my classes were fairly interesting and the scenery was nice. There's this girl from Poland in my night class that's gorgeous. Hell, there's at least four to six hot chicks in all of my classes plus there's this hot blonde Russian teaching my M-W class. This semester officially rules. Got a few assignments do and a lot of quizzes to do but it shouldn't be too hard. Luckily all of my classes are condensed to being on Monday through Wednesday. Just need to get a job now. Hopefully I can get in at the UNLV Preschool. It was nice seeing Maria again. Anyway that's all for now.

China Visit and Brazil Floods

Obama meets the President of China:
Hu Jintao, the President of China, arrived in the US yesterday and right now I think Obama needs to put his foot down. China is working on military functions, including cyberwarfare and an aircraft carrier, that are directed at the United States. This needs to be addressed as well as human rights. China is an oppressive police state in some aspects but they also are making it so that their products are cheaper to sell by making their currency price low.

China is basically kicking our ass in almost everything right now and we need to change that. For one thing our exports to there (which will increase our economic output) need to be increased and be on par with their exports they they are sending here. Also they need to regulate their currency so that it is not cheaper for them than it is for everybody else. China is going to be the next ones to start a big war with us and I'm calling that right now. I've called it in the past but this time there's evidence. China/US will be World War III.

Here's a link about the visit -

Brazil Flooding:
Now there's flooding in Brazil. This flooding is just as bad as the flooding was in Queensland yet isn't getting as much media coverage. They need to be covering these weather disasters because I for one feel that they will become more commonplace and have been becoming more common over the past few years. I expect things to get worse. All of this weathere related phenomena is connected. To what is the big question. The next few years are going to be very interesting.

Truth:
You want the truth about this whole Tuscon Shooting hoopla? Look at this picture. That's the truth of the matter.

UNLV:
Well I started back at UNLV yesterday and this is what I've figured out in just one day. The scenery at UNLV is very nice but there's a few things that are really noticeable. For one thing half of the school population look/dress like yuppies and the other half look like something you'd see in Chalmun's Cantina in Mos Eisley. Yes, that is the cantina from Star Wars, Episode IV: A New Hope. I also like that there's a lot of possibly single women in my classes which is good. However the fact that I found out today that the CCSD lied about there being job openings in both their regular ed and substitute teaching areas which annoyed me. The district is turning into a regime. I don't like it at all. However I also didn't like the 9/11 Inside Job propaganda guy that was roaming around yesterday. There's a thing called being too liberal. That's the thing that I think irks me about some Democrats. They don't know the difference between being too liberal and just the right amount. They have to go all out. Same thing with the conservatives. The fact that moderates are now slim to none in this country doesn't bode well. Anyway there's a few hot chicks in my classes which is good. Liking this semester already.

California Superstorms, Royal Rumble, and Actresses

California Superstorm:
California could be in store for a massive superstorm that could devastate the entire state with billions of dolloars worth of damage. The last time this happened was 1861-62. To put that in perspective, the United States was in the middle of the Civil War the last time this happened. Then Governor Stanford even had to take a rowboat to get to his own inauguration due to the weather and the state capital was moved to San Francisco because of the terrible flooding. The storm could last for up to 40 days (yes, over a month) and add to it high level wind gusts. It's going to be chaos.

Now I know that some people are probably going to be skeptical of this happening again. Well if it doesn't happen this year then it's going to happen sometime. I don't think this is as far fetched as some people will probably be thinking. I know with all of the disaster movies that have been made that will have a role in people disbelieving this stuff can happen. However I think that we're on the verge of a climate shift and all of this extreme weather is just the beginning. I believe that all of this is interconnected. That's the only reason to explain all of this flooding, the increased amount of major earthquakes, major tsunamis, and everything else weather related that is happening around the globe.

Royal Rumble:
The WWE Royal Rumble this year is going to have 40 wrestlers in it instead of 30 this year. Well my thoughts on this are they are doing it to get members of both Nexus factions into the Rumble. Since they need to get members of both Punk's Nexus and Barrett's Nexus in the Rumble for a showdown they would have to add spots to get all of the other wrestlers they need to get airtime into the match thus the reason for 10 added spots. It should be really good to watch.

Celebrities:
Since I've covered everything else, going to do my list of top ten female celebrities I'd like to go out with, sleep with, etc. Here's the list:
10. Natalie Portman
9. Ellen Page
8. Olivia Wilde
7. Mila Kunis
6. Zooey Deschanel
5. Mary Elizabeth Winstead
4. Emmy Rossum
3. Eva Mendes
2. Michelle Rodriguez
1. Winona Ryder

I think it's safe to assume that I like brunettes. Winona will always be my number one. Beetlejuice played a big role in that. Probably forgetting a ron of names but that's my list until updated.

Tunisia Update and Movie Characters List

Tunisia Still in Chaos:
Tunisia is still in a state of anarchy even after the exiled President feld the country to Saudi Arabia on Friday. The military are now fighting the street protestors as well as the former President's personal bodyguards. The good news in all of this is that the new President is going to put together a new government with members of both his party and the opposition parties which is what needs to happen. However the only way it will work is if the military gets control of the streets and eliminates the threat of the President's former bodyguards as well as the rioters in the streets.

If they are able to pull this off then I think Tunisia will be stable for a long time. They just needed a change at the top. Hopefully their anti-Islamist extremist policies stay the same. Al- Qaeda can't even get a foothold in there. Tunisia was a police state that controlled everything which had a lot do with it but it also led to the revolt against the President. Here's another movie list. This time it's my top fifteen favorite movie characters of all time. Watching football so I'll expand this in another blog. A lot of these ones go without saying, though. Anyway, here's the list:

14. Thorn, Soylent Green
13. Rocky Balboa, Rocky movies
12. R.J. MacCready, The Thing (1982)
11. Indiana Jones, Indiana Jones movies
10. Douglas Quaid/Hauser, Total Recall
9. Dr, Miles Bennell, Invasion of the Body Snatchers
8. General Buck Turgidson, Dr. Strangelove
7. Les Grossman, Tropic Thunder
6. Rick Deckard, Blade Runner
5. Nada, They Live
4. The Joker, Dark Knight
3. Han Solo, Star Wars Original Trilogy
2. Peter Venkman, Ghostbusters
1. Jack Burton, Big Trouble in Little China

Top Ten Movies

Top Ten Movies:
Alright, there's nothing too much political going on today and I already ragged on the Atmpittsburgh Stealers enough on Twitter. If they make the Super Bowl, I'm doing a full blog rant about them if they make the Super Bowl. Anyway I'm doing a list of my top ten non-science fiction or horror best pictures of all time:

10. Taxi Driver

9. On the Waterfront

8. Patton

7. Chinatown

6. The Deer Hunter

5. Saving Private Ryan

4. Pulp Fiction

3. The Godfather

2. Casablanca

1. Dr. Strangelove - I bet a lot of people will be surprised to see that one at the top of the list. Peter Sellars is brilliant in this movie.

I'll do one for Science Fiction and Horror sometime. Those ones will be much more expanded than this little small list. Don't feel like writing too much since I'm probably going to be playing Age of Empires after finishing this up.

College:
As some of you may or may not know, I'm starting back to college on Tuesday. Now the main reason for this is being unable to find a job and the fact that there's no teaching positions open here in Vegas. It's a horrible situation to be honest. However things could be worse. This could be like George Orwell's 1984. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it is in the next 10-20 years. But no worries. Hopefully I can find a job and get a second bachelor's at the same time.

Tucson Shooting:
Boy am I dead on with this blog or what? They're talking about the college possibly doing more to inform to the authorities about shooter. Well the video in this article discusses that. Hopefully they read my blog beforehand (probably not, but still) to prevent this from ever happening again. Here's the link to it:

Tunisia's President in Exile

Tunisia Chaos:
The President of Tunisia has fleed his small North African nation and now the Prime Minister is in charge of Tunisia. This is quite fascinating to me since I never expected to see this in an African nation that was overrun by rebels or dealing with Islamic militants and extremists. The rioting protestors all over the country led to all of this. The main root cause of this is economics. However a little backstory is needed in order to explain what led to this chaos today.

The President of Tunisia, named Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, was the head of what some would call a "Cult of Personality." His face was plastered all over the nation and the country has little to no civil rights and no freedom of speech. I do have to commend them for cracking down on Islamic fundamentalists which made them a major ally in the region for the United States. However something that I've seen here in Vegas led to his downfall: 14% unemployment. Despite all of his economic reforms that led to international praise all of this still happened. The people were not happy with the unemployment as well as poor living conditions led to the events of today.

Earlier in the day he dissolved the government, declared a state of emergency, and his interior minister and aides were dumped just a few days ago. There's a curfew in effect and groups of three or more people out during the curfew can be arrested and if they resist they can be shot on sight. The airport is on lockdown and there are military checkpoints on all major roads which was confirmed by reporters who are in the country.

This is something that all countries should be watching very closely because it could happen in numerous other countries that have similar situations going on as far as economics go. The situation could be duplicated in a few other countries but considering that Tunisia was considered "stable" for that region should be a wake up call. This can happen anywhere and anytime. Don't discount the human factor in any situation. That is what happened here and now there's a new regime in Tunisia.

The Volcano Dreams

Just to have it noted beforehand, this is the first time I've written about the things in this blog and only a handful of people, maybe three or four, have even heard what I am going to talk about in this blog today.

Here's a little tale from my past that I'm sure will get everyone thinking. Okay, I'm a regular dreamer and have dreams all the time. However either the night of or the night after I graduated high school I started having three concurring dreams that would happen in a chronological sequence over three days.

At the time I didn't put all of the pieces together but I instead thought that I was having the dreams because of watching the movies Dante's Peak and Volcano on the Starz and Encore Movie Channels that I had been watching that whole summer. I saw both movies, mainly Volcano, at least ten times in that time period so naturally I thought it was related to that. Plus the fact I had a dream of my high school being in the middle of a volcanic eruption like in the Volcano movie also didn't help. However, looking back, I think that the high school dream was the one that was about the movie but that's not the one relevant to this blog.

The three dreams I had were as follows and happened in the following order.

Dream One: This dream began with what appeared to be a volcano in New York City. There were two towers that had smoke all around them. It looked like a volcano erupting with smoke, fire, all that kind of stuff. If you've seen a volcano erupting it looked very similar to that. A plane then flies behind the second tower but gets lost in the smoke. At the time I thought it was one of those water dropping planes that they use for forest fires.

Dream Two: The second dream begins with the volcano erupting in the middle of New York City. A huge cloud of ash comes billowing toward the people in the streets who are running for their lives from it.

Dream Three: The aftermath of the volcanic eruption with people covered from head to toe in ash trying to get out of the city.

Now doesn't that sound a lot like 9/11? The fact that the dreams started around 6/11, the same date I graduated high school, and then finished on 9/10/2001 tells me that the stuff I was dreaming about came true. This isn't the first time, either. I used to dream all the time about wars and disasters when I was a kid which is part of the reason why I became so introverted and anti-social.

However as I grew older, some of it was coming true. I told people about bullet trains in middle school and they laughed in my face. Less than a year later there's bullet trains on the news. I dreamt about going to different classrooms that I'd never been to and wouldn't know the designs of yet when I started subbing the little 15 second movie clips from my dreams would actually happen. Honestly it scares the shit out of me when this stuff happens and I don't think it's going to stop. The "Volcano Dreams" as I call them are the ones I remember the most because of what happened the morning after the last dream.

I'll have to keep better track of them. However my recent ones have dealt with the Devil (who appears as Leland Gant, played by Max Von Sydow, from the movie 'Needful Things') and an Angel with a flaming star burning bright behind him as he comes down from the Heavens coming to me. The Devil wants me to join him but when I refuse, he tells me that I'm dangerous to him because I can see through his lies and that I will survive the end times to wander the desert wasteland as punishment for not joining him when I could be in his inner circle. The Angel on the other hand comes to me and tells me that I will survive as well but instead will be a 'Witness to the end time.' My job will be to tell tales of what happened to the survivors and since I am already good at that, I will be a good choice for the job. In other words, I will survive armageddon.

I've had dreams about wandering around in deserts before and telling stories around campfires to other people so, judging by what I've dreamt about in the past, I'm assuming that this stuff will probably happen too. That said, time to analyze the dream with the Devil and the Angel. I think the Devil represents the Antichrist. I have a feeling that I'm going to meet this person and that we'll hit it off. However, when he asks me to join him, I'll see through all of his charms and pleasantries only to turn him down. Instead of getting rid of me he's going to punish me by making me watch him make the world burn. The angel I believe represents the side of good that will end up winning out after the Antichrist destroys almost all of humanity. The desert dreams are just what's going to happen after all of that is finished.

Yeah, I think this blog should give people a little insight into why I believe all of this occult stuff, why I believe in all of these doomsday prophecies, and why I am a bit of a recluse/anti-social at times. I mean, think about it. If you were a kid and were dreaming this stuff, would you be happy? No, not really. I did draw pictures of wars being fought by masked heroes, mutants, and other things because of what I was dreaming about. Still have almost all of them saved as a matter of fact. I didn't join the military after high school because I thought that there'd be a war starting up since we hadn't seen a major one in a long time. I was right.

Also a note as it relates to this. Whenever you see me harping on something on here it's usually because I had a dream about a press conference or a news report or something related to it. Hopefully my dreams about a Second Civil War don't happen. Those ones are real prominent. However I HOPE they are merely related to watching the movie 'Red Dawn' and a real Civil War doesn't happen. I hope we aren't invaded, either. But that's another blog for another time. Felt good to get all of that stuff off my chest. Been keeping all of that to myself for ages. I'll do more dream blogs periodically but this is the major one.

Mental Health in the United States

Mental Health in the United States:
The shootings in Tucson, Arizona has brought up a lot of issues. A lot of them to me have shown just how backwards this country is. The REAL issue is the state of mental health in this country. Think about it. Doesn't this whole thing remind you of the Virginia Tech Shooting? The same thing led up to this incident. The shooter was in college and had issues with classmates and instructors. Both shooters in these incidents were removed from classes and scared both classmates and instructors with their bizarre behavior but it slipped through the cracks until their rampages. The people who knew them from the classes said that they weren't surprised to see that the killers were the ones who did it. What the hell does this say about the mental health system in the United States?

Colleges need to report any erratic student behavior to the police and have the students in question have a psychological evaluation before something like this happens again. Seung-Hui Cho should've set off some alarm bells about the mental health system in the United States and yet clearly NOTHING was learned from it judging by the Tucson shootings. Why did they let this guy not get any treatment or evaluations after his outbursts at the college? The whole system clearly needs an overhaul as far as dealing with mentally unstable individuals at colleges. This is what needs to happen. First they need to set up a system between college mental health services and public/private mental health services so that people like these two psychopaths don't slip through the cracks. Second colleges need to report ALL students who are mentally unstable to the police so that they are in the system. Jared Loughner and Cho were not in the system before they went on their rampages. This needs to happen to prevent this from ever happening again. People need help should get the help the need before they go on shooting rampages.

That said, politicians and members of the two major parties need to quit blaming each other and politicians of the other party for what happened. It was the act of a lone gunman. Now shut the hell up about Sarah Palin, Barrack Obama, or anybody else being to blame for this because the killer is the one who should be blamed, not anybody else.

Something that makes me very happy:
Pageviews last month

Pageviews all time history

Yep, since I started the blog back up in mid-December I've had two thirds of my total blog page views in that time span. Hopefully this upward trend continues. It was 248 before that so this is really good news. Thank you to those who are regular readers and followers. I will continue to post blogs about anything and everything. Should be some interesting subject matter in the weeks to come.
